The polish comes with a regular cap along with an additional cap for which has a magnet on it. The electric emerald polish has a wave pattern magnet strip attached. The patterns are shown on the cap itself.

To apply first put on a base coat, let it dry completely. After that apply the magnetic polish to all your nails and let them dry. Once done, apply a generous coat of the magnetic polish, one nail at a time, and carefully place the magnet close to your nail (the cap has a protruding edge that sits near your cuticle ensuring that the magnet does touch your nail. Keep the magnet steady for around 10 seconds to see the pattern take shape.
