Festival Of Love, Couple Spa at Temple Spa by Tattva, Radisson Jass Hotel, Khajuraho

Radisson Jass Hotel Khajuraho was our home for two nights during our road trip through Madhya Pradesh. On 31st December we decided to relax by taking a spa session at the hotel.

The Temple Spa by Tattva at Radisson Jass Hotel is located in one serence corner of the hotel. The reception is well lit with all glass walls and is nicely done up with Buddha figurines and other metal wall artifacts. There are many services offered at the spa ranging from 30 minute massage to something that lasts over 2 hours.

After going through the long menu we decided to try the Festival Of Love, couple spa. This includes
• 60 minutes Ayurvedic Massage therapy to balance the energy and calm the mind
• 30 minutes Indian Champi - a head massage where a nourishing hair oil is used to take you into a deeply relaxed state of restorative nap so that you are energized when you wake up
 • 30 minutes of relaxed time with rose and milk hydro- therapy in the Jacuzzi

We were first made to fill in a form listing any medical condition we had and what we were expecting out of our session. The manager even asked our pain points before introducing us to our massage therapists.  Likhika and Nimcha were extremely polite and led us to the couple spa room. We were given disposable undergarments and a bath robe to put on. There was a cupboard to keep our belongings and our clothes. The therapists left us alone while we changed. We had to knock on the door to let them know we were done so that they could enter back.

Shirodhara Room, Foot Massage Area - Temple Spa at Radisson Jass Hotel, Khajuraho

The therapy began by a gentle foot cleansing ritual. We were made to site on the chairs while our feet were immersed in warm water. The therapists massaged our feet very gently and dried them off before putting on the slippers on our feet.

We were then led to our massage beds. The massage therapist held out a huge towel up against the bed so that she couldn't see us. She then asked us to remove the robe and lie face down. Once we did she used that huge towel to cover us completely. She then took another towel and placed it over us. The room was kept warm so that we felt comfortable throughout the therapy.

The therapist then began with the legs and feet. First one leg was massaged followed by the other. The therapist ensured that only the part of the body being massaged was uncovered while the rest remained hidden at all times. I think this was really thoughtful and is great for people like me who are extremely self conscious when getting a body massage done.

We were asked if the pressure was enough or we would like more pressure throughout to ensure the massage was comfortable and effective. From the legs, back, neck, arms, each part of the body was massaged so well that by the time it was time for the champi I was already half asleep. The head massage was done with such gentle yet effective techniques that I felt all my tiredness of the week vanish.

Once the body massage and head massage was over the therapists led us into the steam room. We were asked to stay inside while they prepared the Jacuzzi. The steam room allowed all our pores to open up relaxing every muscle and awakening us completely. We were then asked to come and enjoy the Jacuzzi which was a sight to remember. The whole Jacuzzi was full of bath foam and roses. The whole place smelled divine. The therapists left us alone and told us they would knock once it was time to take a bath. We spent a long time relaxing in the Jacuzzi enjoying each others company on an otherwise cold winter day.

There is a huge bathroom inside the couple spa room which has a rain shower, towel rack, and toiletries. After taking a bath and changing back into our clothes we thanked our therapists who then led us to the reception where we were given green tea to end our session. We did tip the therapists since we were very happy with the service provided.

Overall the whole experience was sensational. The service costs Rs 5599 for the couple.

Tiredness of the previous 6 days of travel vanished in those hours of bliss. I would highly recommend you to try out services at the Temple Spa by Tattva whenever you visit Radisson Jass Hotel, Khajuraho.
