I am sharing with you the Philips Satinelle Essential Epilator BRE201. This epilator is a dry model and comes with 5 attachments. At the end I am also sharing some tips that will make epilation easy and pain free. I have over 10 years of epilation experience and also got interviewed on epilatorcentral.com recently. So do read on, first the review and then tips on epilation.

The epilator is very compact and easy to hold. It gives you a good grip in your hands. There are two heads, the epilation head and shaver head. The shaver head comes with a plastic cap that makes it easier to store and take for travel. The epilator head has a plastic cap that closes off most of the epilation head while leaving a part in the centre open. This sensitive area cap is useful for epilating smaller more delicate areas (upper lips, bikini line)

10 Tips On Smooth Pain Free Epilation

I was tempted to do this post after my review of the Braun Silk Epil 7 Skin Spa epilator. That post was already too long to incorporate a full blown list on tips for epilation so here you go, these are tips that I've been following and have learnt from experience. I hope you find these helpful.

1. Always trim your body hair to the right length - this means your hair should not be too long - each epilator lists down the optimal length. Now you don't need to take out a rules to measure the hair length, if you have shaved then lets say 3-4 days after shaving should get your hair back to a desirable length. If you have slow hair growth (lucky you!!!) you can wait for about a week or so.

What is Epilation?

For those of you who are new to epilation let me first explain a bit about the process. Basically epilation involves removal of hair from the roots by plucking it out using a machine called the epilator. Hair is removed from the roots hence the hair takes longer to grow back and over time the hair becomes thin and sparse. In these terms it is almost like waxing except there is no mess involved. For those of you who are used to waxing, the pain is similar or less (depending on your sensitivity) but the good part is while waxing doesn't work on small hair or during humid/rainy days, epilation works perfectly.
