5 Must Have Makeup Brushes

So you are thinking of buying yourself some makeup brushes. But out of all the various brushes out there how do you decide which ones you should start off with? Wonder no more - Sigma narrows down 5 must have makeup brushes.

These are the bestsellers on the Sigma website but you can search your local markets for substitutes if you are not planning to head off to buy Sigma just yet (although once you try Sigma you probably won't look elsewhere!) Oh and if you are purchasing Sigma don't forget to check out the discount code (link is on the right hand sidebar of the blog)
5 Must Have Makeup Brushes

E65 – Small Angle: This brush performs double duty by working to fill in sparse areas of brows, as well as to apply gel or liquid eye liner along the lash line.
E55 – Eye Shading: The E55 was a top pick for its versatility to densely apply shadow all over lid, resulting in a strong and precise color payoff.
E25 – Blending: A blending brush is needed to achieve a seamless shadow application. This one fits the bill thanks to its perfectly shaped tip and soft but firm bristles.
F80 – Flat Kabuki: Known for its ability to buff on foundation to reveal nothing short of a flawless finish, this one will go down in history as our all-time favorite.
F40 – Large Angled Contour: The angle of the F40 makes for easy application of blush, bronzer and/or highlighter to enhance and define cheekbones. Talk about a multi-purpose must-have!

How To Use Different Eye Shadow Brushes

Ever wondered what different eye shadow brushes are meant to do? Here is an easy breakdown of the function of each brush
And Sigma has its own list of brush options each having its unique purpose for enabling perfect eye shadow application.

§  E20 – Smudge brush: The soft and small flat head works best for concentrated color application onto small areas of the eye. It can also be used to smudge out shadow or liner on the lash line for a smoked out effect.

§  E30 – Pencil brush: The soft, tapered tip allows for precise application of shadow directly into the eye’s crease, outer corner, and onto the upper and lower lash line. Similar to the E20, the E30 is also the perfect tool for smudging eyeliner to achieve a soft, smokey eye. *Best-seller!
