Hello my nail art buddies! Here is a quick short post on a nail art I did long back. Yes I think I did it sometime like in April and completely forgot to post here.

Orange Pink Gradient Golden Nail Art

I used a total of 4 polishes for this nail art.

The polishes I used are 

1. L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lush Tangerine (303) - the main orange color that you see

2. L'Oreal Paris Color Riche So Chic Pink (208) - the pink dots used over the gold stamping

3. Maybelline Color Show Bold Gold - for the stamping

4. El Corazon Aquarelle Tints 06 (pink)

Collection Star Pure Reds Lipstick - Packaging

The collection star Pure Reds range is packed in a sleek black with a gold lettering. Each lipstick carries the signature of the L'Oreal brand ambassador that the shade is curated for. And there is a squarish button on the front which shows you the shade inside. L'Oreal has been using this shade button in most of its collections as this is something which a lot of people appreciate. Makes life so much simpler when you need to find the right shade from an entire stack of lipsticks.

Collection Star Pure Reds Lipstick - Texture and Staying Power

The texture of Pure Reds range is soft and velvety. The lipsticks are opaque in a single swipe.

The lipstick is easy to apply and goes matte after a few minutes. The L'Oreal website mentions that this rich matte effect is due to the new Light Illum complex. I would still recommend applying any matte lipstick to well moisturized lips. With the Collection Star Pure Reds  you will feel a bit of drying effect after about 3 hours if your lips are on the drier side. The staying power of these lipsticks is pretty awesome. Even on my lips it stays on for over 4 hours with a meal in between.

If normal lipsticks give you a wear time of around 2 hours then I am sure the Pure Reds lipsticks will give you a good 6 hours of wear-time.

All Collection Star Pure Reds Lipstick Swatches

Now coming to the gorgeous shades. As I said each shade is represented by a brand ambassador of L'Oreal Paris. Let's take a look at these 7 shades.

1. L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Pure Fire by Li Bing Bing

This is an orange toned red. The swatch button and the swatch on my hand looks more orange. On my lips it appears a bit darker but looks very pretty (it must be due to the pigmentation on my lips)

2. L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Pure Vermeil by Fan Bing Bing

This I would say is a pinkish red with hints of orange. Is more orange than pink. Opt for this shade if you are a bit afraid of an out-and-out red shade.

3. L'Oreal Paris Collection Star Pure Amaranthe by Gong Li

This is a fun red pink color. It instantly lifts a wheatish skin tone. You can see me wearing this shade in the FOTD later in the post. I would call this a fun flirty shade of red. The kind that makes you smile instantly.

Today I'm sharing with you a nail paint from the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche mini-nail collection range called Luxembourg Garden (shade 608).

The L'Oreal Paris Color Riche mini nail collection comes in 5 ml packaging with a short cuboid shaped bottles. The bottles look very pretty. These nail paints have a LiquiGel technology which gives a lasting glossy finish.

Named after the second largest garden in Paris, Luxembourg Garden is a rich blue toned nail paint with a hint of green and black. It is a shimmer nail paint where the shimmer is extremely fine.

Names of the ‘Secret 16’ revealed

Some time back I had done a post on my lipstick collection. I showcased swatches of 16 different lip colors but did not reveal the names of the lipstick brands or the shades.

And then my friend Apoorva said she really wanted to know which shades they were as she really wanted to get hold of a few of them. So this post is for you dear (and all my other friends who were waiting for me to reveal the names!)

9 Lipsticks sitting pretty!

L'oreal Color Riche - Blushing Berry - Review

L’oreal Color Riche range of lipsticks are generally very moisturizing, deeply pigmented, and smooth on the lips like a dream

The packaging is very nice – a soft golden beige with L’oreal Paris written on the outside as you can see in the pick below.

I have the lipstick in shade 590 Blushing Berry.

I don’t know how I get the rim of the lipstick smothered with the lipstick – maybe it’s the creamy nature of the lipstick J

Another closer look at the lipstick itself and you will notice L’oreal engraved on it – I really like this – I think this makes it look more classy.

I generally have problems with all lipsticks in terms of staying power and this one is no exception. It gets smothered on the rim of any glass or coffee cup, and one drink is enough for the lipstick to get wiped off. The good thing is that it leaves behind a light tint so my lips still look rosy and the pigmentation of my lips doesn’t show through until I have had a meal.

My mom also uses this range and it gives a better staying power on her – I fail to understand why but any lipstick she wears does not get wiped off until and unless she has had a full meal – then too this lipstick would leave a light tint on her – unlucky me – it does not work that ways for me!

Another closer look at the swatch – this time in sunlight – note that this is just a single swipe.

Now lets take a look at the lip shade after 2 good swipes – as you can see its comes out more pinky in color.

I like this lipstick for its shade – pinks generally look good on me and this shade can be safely worn during the day or night. Nothing too loud about it – and a single swipe is very natural looking as it hides the pigmentation. I also love the moisturization – super smooth indeed.
