Dress in style with Pezalli
Pezalli Pvt Ltd, a bespoke dress shirts-wear brand from Singapore, held a one day workshop at The Woods, Gurgaon on ‘How to dress our clients and employees for success’for industry peers. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Anupama Sachdeva, MD, Pezalli Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Gary Foo, the Bespoke Menswear & Image Consultant, Pezalli and a certified ACTA Trainer from WDA Singapore. The workshop was a first of it’s kind to educate retailers from across the country to understand the concept of bespoke and customized tailoring for men, as well as the most suitable ways to help clients look their best.

The workshop gave special importance to subjects like: style consultation including body and skin tone analysis, perfect measurement, customization according to lifestyle, differences between bespoke and ready to wear shirts. Mr. Foo paid prominence to the choice of design details like collar spreads to suit the face shape before taking an 18 point measurement for that perfect fit that best suits a client’s physique and lifestyle. The masterclass was a first of it’s kind conducted by Pezalli for the Indian market, as the brand has serious interests for expansion in India.

In the words of Anupama Sachdeva, MD, Pezalli Pvt. Ltd, “We have presence in some of the most premium menswear stores in India and we aim to expand presence here. The Pezalli brand of shirts marries contemporary and global design sensibilities with the meticulous attention to detail of Indian craftsmanship. We wanted to use this workshop to spread awareness among our target retailers and audiences on the importance of styling and customization in creating the perfect shirt.”
The workshop had a professional slant as various industry experts marked their presence to the event. Brands like ‘Jade Blue’, one of the best awarded bespoke tailors in West India, ‘Darzi Clothing’, a custom fashion brand in England and India, ‘Heritage Clothing’ a bespoke tailor sells ready to wear shirts is a highland manufacturer, distributor and supplier in retail industry and ‘Options’ one of the biggest suppliers in Mumbai distinguished the workshop with their presence.
Anupama Sachadeva, holds a diploma from La Salle College of Fine Arts, Singapore, and has trained under Mr. Thomas Wong, a master craftsman and the chairman of the Singapore Master Tailors Association. Her aim is to bring the best of Indian workmanship to create a global bespoke clothing brand. Another important aspect of the workshop was the proposal to form a Master Tailors Association in India, leading to standardization in quality across the board.
