Tip n Toes Professionals Pure Mineral Make-up Powder Foundation and Concealer Duo - Tawny Tan

A couple of months back I got to try out a product from Tips & Toes. Its from the Professionals Pure Mineral Make-Up line of products and is a combo of powder foundation and concealer (shade Tawny Tan).

The packaging is really nice and travel friendly. Basically its a pot of powder with a screw cap. The cap is actually a pot of concealer which has a flip cap on it. This makes sure that you can carry both your concealer and powder foundation together.

And there is a small applicator brush for the powder foundation that sits inside this packaging. And there is a mirror inside as well - yup they packed in everything into this pot so that you have it all in one place.

The ingredient list for both concealer and powder foundation are mentioned on the outer box which is a black cardboard box with golden used for the logo and white for other details.

The staying power of the product is a decent 4 hours (more if you have dry skin or use a primer underneath). I apply the concealer with my finger after taking a small amount out with a q-tip. The concealer hides under eye circles and blemishes. And then I dust some powder out on my palm and use the brush to apply it to my skin. I get a better finish if I use a fluffy face brush instead of the applicator provided. It does claim to be mineral based and I think that is true because it did not break me out. 

I have swatched the concealer and foundation powder on my arm below. The shade is Tawny Tan - as you can see the colors closely match. The foundation goes on a bit darker on my face as I think it slightly oxidizes after an hour. So make sure you swatch the shade properly when you are buying this.

Overall I liked the product because

• Great packaging 
• No acne breakout
• Very fine texture of powder
• Smooth texture of concealer 

The downside of this product

• Powder oxidizes on my oily-skin
• Price tag 
• Powder applicator is not good for regular application and is good only for touch ups. I prefer sponge applicators that dispense powders for mineral powder foundations - they give a better blended finish to the skin.

When you try this out at a counter buy it after an hour of having the swatch on your face so that you get the correct shade - you can skip this long wait if you have dry skin because I feel this is oxidizing because of the oiliness of the skin.

It is priced at Rs 950. Even though the price is good because there is a lot of product you get but I would have really liked to get a product which was more budget friendly specially because Tips & Toes is known to provide decent products at affordable prices.

I did do a face shot while wearing it but seem to have lost the pic. Will update the post with a full face shot as soon as I take  a fresh picture wearing both of these.
