hi friends, today I'm sharing a nail art tutorial after a very long time. My nails are really short and I just didn't have the mindset of doing any nail art but finally dragged myself of doing a cute nail art for Valentines day. I hope you find this tutorial useful.
I wanted to participate in a nail art challenge where the theme was animal print and all that came to my mind was leopard prints or giraffe prints. So then I decided I'll instead do something that you guys can use for Valentine's day. And then it clicked, I thought why not merge the two themes together, so here is a Lady Bug Heart Nail Art - lady bug for the animal theme, and my favorite hearts for Valentine's day!
I did this in a hurry so the base is a single coat of a holo polish that I reviewed HERE. You can opt for any light colored base (my suggestion would be go for a pale pink, lavender or even lemon)
So here are the steps that you can use to create this super easy simple nail art for Valentine's Day.
Step 1: Paint your base nails in a light color
Step 2: Take a bold red nail paint and place two drops of polish next to each other. The size of the dots should be as per the width of your nail bed, you don't want the dots to be too big, just enough to create a heart shape right in the middle of the nail.
Step 3: Take a toothpick or dotting tool and dip it in polish - now using this connect the dots diagonally down as shown. You are basically creating the heart outline with this.
Step 4: Now spread the nail paint from the two dots into the heart shape that you created, if required add more nail paint using the toothpick.
Step 5: Let the paint dry in step 4 and then using a black polish draw a straight line dividing the heart.
Step 6: Fill the tip of the heart with black polish using the toothpick, try keeping the heart curve as shown in the image.
Step 7: Use white polish to create two dots in the area painted in step 6. These will form the eyes for the lady bug.
Step 8: Using the dotting tool/toothpick place a black dot in the center of the two dots created in step 7. And also create dots in the rest of the heart to complete your cute little lady bug.
Now you have a basic idea of this lady bug in a heart, go play and let your imagination run wild to create more patterns like these. Don't forget to share your own created on the Facebook page HERE.
