An Evening With Bata India At The Hard Rock Cafe - My BataShoeStory - A/W 2014 Collection Launch

Now, coming back to the post, loud music and lots of alcohol, whiff of smoke - this is totally not my kind of place! And yet I had a fun evening at the Hard Rock Cafe Delhi thanks to Bata India. 

We have always associated Bata with the standard black school shoes and the white canvas shoes that were part of every school going kid in the 90s. Bata has long been making trendy footwear yet youngsters would still steer clear as old notions die hard. To bring awareness of this change and to launch the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection Bata invited a few bloggers to share a fun evening at The Hard Rock Cafe.

First we were introduced to the new collection for both men and women. Then through an evening of cocktails we played around creating our own Canvas shoe to tell our #BataShoeStory.

While a lot of canvas shoes got transformed into blingy shoes I kept mine simple (and very girly). Out of all the creations the team from Bata selected the top 6.

My girly pair got selected too - I think they liked the creative touch of piercing holes on the sides where I added a small neon bow.

All the people from Bata were very warm and fun to interact with. I also got the chance to meet a lot of bloggers although I must admit, being the quiet person I am, my interactions were mostly limited to hellos and smiles.

Overall I had a fun evening. I think you all should check out the new collection at Bata. I visited the store near my place and am very pleased with fun new additions to their otherwise somber collection.  They also have a nice range of handbags.

I wore a pair of denims with a fawn colored top that I got from StalkBuyLove.com - they have a nice collection that you can check out. For work I just wore the shirt and jeans; for the event I added some bling by tying up a black and gold chain belt with cute little tassles on the side. I also wore high heels (while for work I chose to wear flats).
