HPB Presents May Flowers - Nail Art Using BornPrettyStore Matte Top Coat

This month for the Hobby Polish Bloggers linkup we are doing the theme May Flowers. Originally I wanted to do an out and out floral design but I will be doing that a lot for summers so I decided to keep it a little simple this time.

I recently got a few products from BornPrettyStore.com and decided to put them to use.

I used BornPrettyStore.com Matte Top Coat, LYN nail polish Eves Apple, Oriflame The One Nail Polish Ballerina Rose, and a little rose strip from the nail stickers from BPS.

Coming to the nail art - for the accent nail I applied dots of red and green over the base polish so that when I applied the sticker the red would come under the flower and the green under the leaves.

The nail stickers are very easy to apply, I just cut a small strip, removed the backing and stuck it on (once my polish was completely dry) over the nail. Topped it off with a top coat and I was done.

For the rest of the nails I used the BPS Matte top coat called the Surface Matte surface oil. The matte top coat is easy to apply and dries very fast. It makes the polish become matte in a jiffy. The Surface Matte is available for only $3.59 at bornprettystore.com

Now to complete the mani I used the red polish and a toothpick to create a glossy rose on top of the matte surface.

The next day I had to attend an event and I wanted to match my nails with my outfit so I kept rest of my nails intact simply changed the accent nail - I did freehand floral pattern on the accent nail, put a tiny rose sticker on one finger and I was done.
