FACES Love Struck and Cocktail Collection Review & Swatches

FACES Love Struck and Cocktail Collection Review & Swatches

FACES has launched two sets of nail polishes as complementary collections - Love Struck & Cocktail.

These collections contain 3 polishes of 6ml each. Each collection is created so that you can create easy nail art your self using the colors in the collection.

The love struck collection has the perfect colors for Valentine's day nail art. There are two cream polishes and one crelly.

The colors in the Love Struck collection are
1. First Date - this is a beautiful deep pink shade. It has a high gloss finish and goes opaque in two coats.
2. Day Dream - this is pale pink crelly with hexagonal red glitter and tiny white glitter. With three coats you can use it on its own. You can also use it as a topper over other polishes with a single coat.
3. Be Mine - This is a bright red with a pink undertone, reminds me of strawberries.

I did a water marble nail art using the three polishes. Using a crelly for water marble can be quite tricky but thankfully the final result was fine.

FACES Cocktail Nail Lacquer Collection

The second collection from FACES is called Cocktail. This collection contains a golden glitter topper, a red cream polish and a black cream polish.

The polishes in this collection are called Starry Night, Cast A Spell, and Scarlet.

  1. Starry Night - a golden glitter topper with long golden flecks.
  2. Cast A Spell - a jet black color with a high gloss finish
  3. Scarlet - the perfect red polish

I used the Cocktail collection to create the nail art below. The water marble was done using Cast A Spell and Scarlet. This combo of red and black makes the hands look really classy. Then I used the glitter topper Starry Night to add a bit of shine for the cocktail effect.

Both these collections are interesting. For nail art enthusiasts these collections form an easy to start kit - you don't need to worry too much about which colors will work together. Since both the collections have one polish that is not a simple cream, it makes them more interesting.

Which one of these are you more excited about?
