Polka Dot Mani - ILLChallenge Week1

I am participating in a weekly nail art challenge in which this week's theme is polka dots. Polka dots are so much fun and a huge rage in the fashion world as well (though this year the dots were transformed into tiny hearts!)

So for my polka dot mani I tried doing a French Polka Dot Mani with a twist - you can see the picture to know what I mean.

Some time back I had shared a teal colored nail paint from China Glaze called 

After about 4 days of having that nail paint on my hands I started playing around with it. Each day I would go and touch up something to create nail art. I would go back and change something everyday until on the final day when I ended up with my first attempt at Aztec nail art.

Luckily I was taking pictures everyday so now I have a series of nail art that you can do starting off with a simple nail art that you can transform into something more complex.

So to begin with I have silver french tips with a black line and on the accent finger I stamped two dolphins.

The next day I added some color by drawing another line below the black line using a purple nail color.

So this year sport the French Manicure with colored nails and keep the French tip straight across the tip of the nail. This will look great for any occasion and any outfit.

Are you ready to try this simple nail art out?

If you don't have a nail art pen you can use a toothpick to draw the nail tip or gently use the nail polish brush directly on the nail. To get the exact straight line you can also use some tape - tape off rest of the nail leaving just the tip, paint with the white polish and once it dries gently lift of the tape. (Make sure the tape glue is not too sticky - stick it several times on your hand to get rid of the extra glue)
