A lot of the girls participating in the First Anniversary Giveaway HERE have asked for eye makeup tutorials. I am not an expert at eye makeup but I will be doing my best to post about everything that I learn myself.

This post is my attempt to present to you something that you can wear on a daily basis. Eye makeup technique which does not use a lot of technicalities and is simple to do. You can do this in less than 5 minutes. You can wear this to work, to college and I will tell you in the end how I wore the same look for an evening out.

How To Do Simple Eye Makeup (in less than 5 minutes)

As you can see in the pictures, the eyes look very simple and yet not boring or plain. The make up is just enough to add a little brightness to the eyes and make them stand out.

For this look you need two eye shadows - one very light shade and another one darker in shade. You will need one fluffy eye shadow brush. You can use the sponge applicators that come in makeup boxes or you can simply use your ring finger (ring finger is the most gentle and hence suited for eye makeup application). Additionally you will need your favorite eye liner and optionally you may use a mascara as well.

I have used brown only but in different depths - one brown is a light fawn brown while the other is a normal chocolate brown. You can use complimentary shades too like white and pink, pink and peach, green and blue but remember the more brighter the colors the more your eyes will pop out. So if this is for office wear stick to browns and soft pinks.

Now coming to the technique - its very simple and easy. It should take you less than 5 minutes to do your eye makeup.

1. Take the lighter color and apply it all over your lids including the area under the brows.
2. Then take the darker shade and apply it on the outer corner of the eyes. Now using the same brush blend it on your lid focusing more on the crease. Do not go near the area under your brows.
3. Then line your eyes with a black/brown eye liner in a straight line that ends at the corner of the eye. If you have very thin lashes then use a coat of mascara and you are done.

This is simple eye makeup that you can wear to work. You can also do the same eye makeup if you wear glasses.

Here is a picture of me wearing the eye makeup. I wore this for an evening out where I had to go straight from work. All I did was applied a brighter lipstick, applied a bindi, and added some fancy danglers.
