NYX Advanced Salon Formula Nail Polish - Review and Swatches

Hi everyone! Today's post is a quick swatch post about a gorgeous polish that was lying in my stash. Every month I participate in a birthday collab where the group creates some mani for the birthday girl. This month I was supposed to recreate the mani of one of the birthday girls and I was looking for a pink polish that was bright yet a soft pink. I have a few popping pink colors but couldn't remember having this beautiful pink polish from NYX that I got a couple of years ago.

The polish doesn't have a name and is numbered as NPS 227. The pink shade is like the traditional rose pink color with hints of magenta shimmer. It sort of gives it a slight holo effect.

NYX Advanced Salon Formula Nail Polish - NPS230 - Pastel Pistachio

Hello friends, today's post is about this gorgeous pastel green nail polish from NYX advanced salon formula range -  shade NPS230 - Pastel Pistachio. This has to be the loveliest pastel green shade that I own.

The polish bottle is a cubical shaped bottle with a regular polish applicator brush. The formula is nicely pigmented and goes on streak free. The polish does not fade for atleast 3 days after which you might notice slight fading at the tips.

I had done a nail art using this polish months back. I stamped it with Uber Chic beauty plate from collection 2. You must have seen this nail art in my post on the stamping plates as well as on instagram.

My Beauty Wish List - Which Ones Do You Own?

While 2013 has already crossed the mid way mark, there are some products I'm still waiting to own. From Sigma, Nars, Bobbi Brown and more, this list is just a tip of the ice berg. You know a girl can never have too much makeup can she?

The products on this list include the Revlon nail art expressionist and the mint green nail paint from Bourjois. In the eye makeup range I am waiting to get my hands on the Neutral extended wear eye liner range from Sigma.

I am also eyeing the gorgeous velvet matte lip pencil from NARS. I think its a lovely shade for the coming fall months. And to match it up is the NARS cosmetics eye shadow palette specially for fall 2013. Aren't those colors simply rich looking?

Bobbi Brown has made its debut in Select City Walk mall in Saket but I haven't had the chance to go over there yet. Their lipsticks look stunning!

A couple of other items that I wish to own are the Clinique chubby stick for the lips, a color correcting primer from NYX, a lovely blush from Dior and the uniquely shaped Smart Liner from Sephora.

What are you wishing to buy in the near future? Any of these items also top your list?

How To Get the Beauty Look: Celebrity Natural Look Using Budget Products

Getting the perfect natural looking skin is not easy. Celebs do it perfectly because they have an experienced team of professionals taking care of their makeup. But here are the basic steps that you can do using budget products to achieve the perfect natural look.
Get the Beauty Look: Celebrity Natural Look Using Budget Products

Step 1. You need to have a perfect canvas for a natural look. So start off with a face primer. If you have blemishes chose a primer that is a color corrector like the one from NYX. This will prime your skin and also conceal the blemishes/large pores in one go.

Step 2. Use an eye primer and apply it all over the lids. This will give you a crease-less application of eye shadow and also help the eye shadow last longer. You can use the MUA eye primer or the one from Victoria's Secret.
