Today I'm sharing a review of the FACES Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon Midnight Rose. A stunning red lip color that is bound to look great on all skin tones.

The lip crayons come with a plastic cap to prevent them from breaking. You need a large sharpener to  create the pointed tip. And yes this will lead to product wastage but the pencil is large enough to last a long time.

The texture of these lip crayons is extremely smooth. The crayon glides on your lips giving a streak free application. The finish is matte and quite long lasting. The lipstick feels weightless on your lips.

It's raining red and oranges in the lip industry. Every where I turn to I see a ravishing red or a bold orange. Today I'm going to quickly share two lovely lipsticks from Maybelline Color Show - Red Rush (211) and Orange Icon (308).

After scorching the red carpet at Cannes, the L'Oreal Paris Moist Matt lipsticks from the L'Or Lumiere Collection are making waves all over. I have the lovely color Flaming Kiss that I wore in my Cannes Red Carpet outfit post.

Moist matt lipsticks come in a classy pale rose gold colored packing with a square showing the color of the lipstick outside (as you can see in the pictures)

The lipstick is smooth, very pigmented and non-drying. The shape of the bullet is a bit different from other lipsticks - slightly more rounded at the top.

Flaming Kiss is a bright bold red color. It looks a bit on the pink side in the bullet but goes on a bright red on the lips. You can see the swatch as well as how it appears on my lips.

I love the lipstick for the gorgeous red color, smooth texture. Now coming to the staying power, it stays on through a cup of tea and some light snacks but not beyond that. The only downside for me is that it does not stain the lips - so when it comes off your bare lips show through which looks horrible. The best way out is to use a staining red lip liner underneath the lipstick (or just reapply after your meal!).

I think this red would look good on most skin tones. The have a lot of variations of reds in the moist matt range so even if you think this is too bold for you I am sure you will find one that is meant just for you!

Outfit Post - Cannes Film Festival - Budget Red Carpet Look?

I was really not sure of doing this post and am still not sure if I should be... I was supposed to create a look for the red-carpet Cannes film festival - I had this really pretty look in mind, a flowy gown, a fantastic up-do and almost neutral eyes with bold lips. First off I don't have any gown in my wardrobe - now I don't get to attend these fancy red carpet events so never ever had the need to buy one. So I initially thought a saree would be nice but then the only full outfit post I remember doing was in a saree so well... there I go ranting on again.

Sometime back I won a small contest held by Etude House. I won their Sweet Recipe - Dear My Jelly Lips-talk lipstick in shade JPK002 Strawberry Syrup.

The lipstick comes in a very cute box with jelly beans drawn on it. The lipstick itself is in a pale cream colored plastic packaging with a crystal ring around the base. The crystal ring is almost the same color as the bullet inside (to make identifying the color easy if you have more than one of these in your stash)
