This week's theme at
http://cutenailstudio.blogspot.in/ is reverse French or French nail art. To tell you the truth I have never done either before but I had to give it a try.
For French I had to get the tips perfected and that to me seemed quite difficult. So I scratched my brain and decided to do the reverse French instead.
I am sure there are lovely tools available in the market to make life easy when it comes to doing French nail art but I had no clue. So I decided to make use of the good old tape! Yes that is what I used. I cut out small pieces of tape and cut one side of it in an arc. I stuck these on the nail where I did not want the colour and then it was simple nail painting.

Two coats and then I waited for it to dry. Once it dried off all that was needed was to pull off the tape and volla!

Reverse French Step 2: Peel off the tape |
So my basic reverse French manicure was ready. I know it is not perfect but hey for a first time attempt I am pretty impressed - my short nails look really cute to me :)
Next I thought of jazzing it up a bit - I wanted to make it very girly - so I went ahead and took a lighter nail paint and painted small bows on the sides followed by a trail of dots. Below are a series of pics of my nails.
