Golden Christmas Nail Art

Hi everyone! This is a quick post to show you what I have on my nails for Christmas. I did something very simple and easy this year. This is also the theme of this week's STNChallenge for Winter Nails.

Golden Christmas Nail Art

A free hand decorated Christmas tree on my accent nail and a stamped Merry Christmas message on the thumb. Couldn't strain my neck too much so opted out of doing anything that required more than 5 minutes to do.

I chose a golden polish called Golden Glow from Envy Polishes as the base. This is a translucent polish and I used three coats to get the shimmery golden base.

For the Christmas tree I used KB Shimmer Green Hex and Glam. This is a lovely green polish with different sized silver hex shaped glitter.

For the decorations I used the small half spherical beads from Born Pretty Store (use coupon code HPG10 to get 10% off - BPS ships worldwide and has some really cool nail art and other makeup products)

CICI & SISI Nail Art Special Christmas Stamping Plate

Do you all remember a picture I shared on Instagram a few days back? Nobody was able to guess what it really was!

Well this is the new CICI & SISI Nail Art Special Christmas Stamping Plate. First of all let me say I loved, simply loved the packaging.

The outer envelope cover has a beautiful 'Merry Christmas And Happy New Year 2015' message written on it. When you open the envelope a stunning leather pouch comes out. This is a cover for the stamping plate. But hold your breath, this is not it. You turn over the plate and the back is just as gorgeous with the same print as the outer envelope.

I must confess this is the prettiest stamping plate I have so far.
The front side of the stamping plate has a protective blue sheet on it. You can peel it off to reveal all the lovely Christmas themed designs. There are snowflakes, Christmas trees, snow man, reindeer and at the bottom is a whole scene of Christmas images.

Hi friends, I'm back with another quick nail art that you can do on your nails for Christmas, its Snowman time!

I used a silver glitter nail paint that I will review soon. The accent nail has a little snowman which I created using a toothpick. On the rest of my nails I have done stamping using the MoYou London Kitty Plate (review coming up sometime this week). And for the ground of snow I used the polish brush directly and dabbed it on instead of brushing it to create the snowy effect.

Now here is the fun part - the breakup of our cute little snowman. You can follow the step by step tutorial below to create your own snowman in a matter of minutes. Remember a toothpick is all that you need. If you do have brushes or nail art dotting tool then go ahead and use that.

I finally have a single post where in I plan to show you how I created different Christmas patterns. You can learn them through the step by step pictures and then do a single pattern on all nails or create your own twist. I created one pattern for each nail.

So lets get started!!!

First you can take a look at the pictures where I have directly used nail polish mostly. The few dots or lines have been done using a dotting tool - you can use a toothpick. If you have acrylic colors then you can actually do this more easily with a 0 number painting brush and acrylic colors.  Whether you use nail polish or acrylic colors remember to cover your nails with a clear base coat.

In a nail art challenge the theme was to use 3 polishes that are your favorites. I love white and red on my nails but my favorite polish is the silver from China Glaze. So keeping in mind the coming Christmas joy, I decided to do a nail art inspired by the candy cane.

So I've got the white and red for the candy cane, and I added a bit of silver to signify the celebration mood during Christmas!

After a very long time I have a picture tutorial for this nail art as well. I have broken down the steps for each of the patterns so that you can create this easily on your own nails.

NBBN Theme Post: Christmas Snow Flakes, Candy Cane and Snow Covered Tree - Nail Art Tutorial

Before Christmas bells start to ring I thought I'd try doing a nail art based on the theme. And not just nail art but what I like doing the most is sharing the tutorial on how I created the look.

Lets begin by taking a look at the final Christmas nail art containing snow flakes, candy cane and a snow covered tree on my nails.

As you can see I did a snow flake pattern on my thumb, candy canes on two fingers, a snow covered tree on the middle finger and made my ring finger nail as the accent nail with a frosty green and red stripes.
